Where is Western Sydney?

Greater Western Sydney is the third largest economy in Australia. This area is compromised of 14 local government areas with some centres being Fairfield, Parramatta and Liverpool, which can be considered some of the main activity hubs of Western Sydney. Casula Powerhouse

Casula Powerhouse is a multi-disciplinary arts centre located within Liverpool. The centre has 6 galleries with a year-round exhibition program and a 326-seat theatre. It offers full seasons of touring productions from some of Australia’s notable companies.

Western Sydney Parklands

Western Sydney Parklands is Sydney’s biggest backyard. Stretching over 27km and covering 5280 hectares, Western Sydney parklands have more than 60km of tracks and trails. The Parklands have no shortage of beautiful picnic areas with barbecues, shelter and amenities and various playgrounds, such as Plough and Harrow, and Lizard log. Each of these parks offers a natural wonderland and sprawling playground with giant swings, flying foxes and paths for young cyclists and scooter riders. It also houses the TreeTop Adventure Park where you can swing, leap, and climb through the forest by participating in obstacle courses high up in the trees.

Sydney Zoo is located in the heart of Western Sydney, with excellent transport access and just minutes away from key locations and entertainment attractions. It is home to over 4,000 native and exotic animals, 5 iconic precincts, an Aquarium and Australia’s largest Reptile and Nocturnal house. Take a walk through the new Koala Trail, feed a mob of meerkats and kangaroos and explore different animals in their habitats.

Raging Waters Sydney

Raging Waters Sydney is the place during the summer. Sydney’s biggest waterpark offers over 30 rides, slides and attractions and has something for everyone. Challenge your friends and family on the H2Go Racers, experience the speed of the 360 Rush or chill out by the wave pool, or feel the thrills on Bombora.

FAIRFIELD CITY SHOWGROUND

The Fairfield City Showground is a multi-purpose venue for popular multicultural festivals, horse racing, carnivals, and markets attracting as many as 20,000 people.

The Showground is the renowned venue of the Fairfield Markets which has been ongoing since the seventies. It is the largest market in the South West. Every Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM up to 600 stalls are filled with clothes, sporting gear, jewellery, household and car items, children’s toys, grocery items and fresh fruit and vegetables. While the adults can shop around, kids can enjoy jumping castles, carnival rides and pony rides. There are also plenty of food stalls to enjoy when you decide to have a break.
